Individual Coaching
Nature & purpose of Coaching
There are times when clients are in need of advice and support and education related to a variety of topics. Often these topics include issues pertaining to: divorce or separation, parenting, professional development or personal growth. The goal of coaching is to provide a facilitated space for the client to develop optimal decision-making strategies and improve insight, perspective and understanding around their challenging situation.
Coaching is different than therapy. There is no presumption of any mental illness and goals do not include reduction of symptoms. Therapy is a form of health care, while coaching is not. Therefore, coaching is not a service covered by insurance plans.
Coaching sessions are confidential, and cannot/will not be shared with others, without a current signed release of information. However, as a mandated reporter, Carrie is bound to follow mandated reporting laws concerning abuse or neglect of children and vulnerable adults and will seek to take preventive actions should any client express intention to harm themselves or others.
Currently all coaching sessions are being held virtually.
